Course Outline
Learn all about WordPress and build your own website. Are you responsible for managing or updating content on WordPress websites, or are you wanting to create a website from scratch? In this short workshop you will learn fundamental WordPress skills, so you can create or maintain a functional WordPress website or blog to meets your needs.
You’ll be shown how to acquire a website address and install WordPress so you’re ready to build a website that will work on computers, laptops, tablets and mobile phones. You’ll add pages to the website and set up a blog/news page. We’ll then move on to adding and editing content such as text, images and videos.
This is an intensive course and assumes a reasonable working knowledge of computers and the internet, even if you have little or no prior knowledge of WordPress. You do not need website content to attend this course, however you are welcome to bring along a USB containing images and copy to build your website pages e.g. about us, what we do, services etc. Please note that this course will not cover setting up more advanced features such shopping cart, events management, membership etc.
